"The New People's Spirit, formerly known as The Theory of Martial Arts" is a book published by the Central Guidance Department of the New People's Association in 1938. Originally titled "The Theory of Martial Ethics", Biao Min's book argues that force is morality and a soldier's responsibility is obedience. The author believes that martial arts is the "way of civil and military unity". The book is divided into 30 chapters that cover subjects such as benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, wisdom, faith, loyalty, filial piety, courage, honor and disgrace, self-restraint, self-reflection, and righteousness, among others.
